Information and more details
The Big Science of the 21st century faces unprecedented challenges that require increasingly complex scientific infrastructures. With the model of international scientific infrastructures already consolidated through organizations such as CERN, ITER, and ESO and the overall objective of promoting European competitiveness, it is now necessary to strengthen collaboration between infrastructures, promote open science, and develop large scientific programs that will continue to produce cutting-edge discoveries. And all of this under the premise that Big Science must be a driver of economic growth, fostering collaborative innovation and generating direct benefits for society. Furthermore, in an era of growing climate awareness, these infrastructures must be sustainable, both in terms of resource usage and their ability to provide solutions to current and future climate challenges. In this plenary session, prominent authorities from major scientific facilities will share their vision for the future and what role of the Spanish industry could undertake in the years to come.
